1.Try to use everyday situations for reinforcing your child’s language and speech as much as possible. Other words get into the habit to talk to your child all day long. Explain and talk about what you are doing during the day (for example clean the house, cook the meal); name objects in and around the house, point out the sounds the child hears. Ask and answer the questions. Forget about “baby talk”.
2.Remember of extremely important role of communication, spend much time communicating with your child talk, sing, and encourage imitating sounds, words.
3.Starting from the very early age (approximately from the six months) read to your child. Books full of bright colors and breathtakingly interesting texts (appropriate for your child’s age) will stimulate your kid to take active part in discussion and sharing the impression. It is better to start with classic literature for children; later continue to read poems and rhymes. While reading it is important to pay attention to pictures which follow the text, discuss them.
Recognizing and treating problems on the early stage is the best approach to help with language and speech delays. Proper on time therapy will approve your child’s communication development.
